Overview of the Program
The Goal – Why was it created?
Everyone's Guide to the Bible is designed to help anyone better understand how the Bible’s key events and characters reveal the central theme of God's message to all people: His eternal plan to provide all people with the opportunity to be saved from their sins through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.
The Approach – How does it work?
God’s revealed Word is emphasized and highlighted with an extensive amount of content:
- over 200 images (custom color illustrations, maps, and word charts)
- 3 audio-video guides lasting a total of 2 hours
- 160 multiple-choice questions
- 2500 outline items
- the entire text of the Bible
- The first part of Everyone's Guide to the Bible focuses on the learning process through three audio-video guides that automatically take the user through the Bible in chronological order, each one introducing more detail than the previous one. As the narrative moves through the Bible the program displays images and dates on an associated timeline. As each of the audio-visual guides is completed, a set of review questions for that guide is offered to allow users to confirm their understanding of the information just presented. Due to its tutorial nature, the program complements rather than competes with other Bible software and is ideal for introducing God’s Word to others.
-
In the second part of the program, a unique and extensive outline allows users to chronologically explore the Bible, "drilling down" to whatever level of detail they need.
With each outline item (at any depth), the program displays a related image, date, and associated group of Bible text (including parallel passages).
Even experienced students will benefit from this presentation style to sharpen their understanding of the Bible.
